many agencies are there? How many clinics?
In SFY 2000, approximately 101
agencies contracted with TDH to provide family planning services through
the Titles V, X, and XX programs. These agencies provided subsidized
services at approximately 400 clinic sites. (Estimates are based in the fact that contracts are
terminated throughout the year, and, therefore, the number of contracting
agencies is not constant throughout the year.)
How many men and women clients?
In SFY 2000, TDH provided services to approximately 450,528 total clients.
In addition, 26,180 adolescents under 19 participated in teen group
counseling sessions.
How many women are in need?
In SFY 2001, there were approximately 1,756,073 Texas women in need
